OET Passwords Set to Expire
Passwords for the OET network have been set to expire annually on a staggered basis by unit. This limits the amount of time an attacker has to use a password to access your department’s computers and network files, in the event that they should manage to compromise an account. Once you change your password, it will be good for another full year, regardless of how much time the old password had before expiration. You can also change your password as often as you like, up to once per day. As always, passwords must be 11 or more characters in length, but there are no other restrictions on password length or content.
